Summary

Um, wow.

There are probably two ways to measure the success of a pre-season draft: the number of future keeper worthy prospects attained, or the number of useful, useable players for use in the immediate season acquired.

By both measures, the Redshins have come up trumps here.

Hately, Clark, Duursma, Simpkin, Vlastuin are likely keepers. An argument could also be made for Higgins, Ceglar, Valente, Conca, MacMillan, and Edwards.

Duursma, Hodge, Vlastuin, Impey, MacMillan, Clark, Bellchambers, Edwards, and Simpkin featured heavily in season 2019. In this draft the Redshins have selected several players who will loom large in any finals push that materialises in the next few seasons. As a team outside the finals picture, you can’t ask for much more than that.
