The 2018 Grand Final came down to these two clubs. Despite it being a high scoring affair, the reigning premier dispatched the Roughnecks with relative ease.
The Chiefs domineering score on the day was driven by an whopping 190 by Jack Macrae. Patrick Dangerfield ably supported this effort with 158 of his own. Dumont 139. Laird 138. Grundy 126. Harmes 125. Ooof.
All of these names bar Dumont will be taking the field this weekend. Hopefully the Roughnecks don’t hold residual trauma.
For the Roughnecks, it was stalwart Devon Smith who led the way with 142. Hunter was next with 131. Kyle Langford, who now plays for *checks notes* the Chiefs, had 119. Thankfully he won’t be able to take the field and punish the Roughnecks for their lack of faith.
