Te Puke Pukekos didn’t win much this year. And by much, we mean this is it. This is the only win.
But ruckman Tim English has snared the DangerGawn Medal, polling 26 votes in what proved to be another tight contest.
Roughnecks forward Tim Taranto, who led the poll for much of the season, fell by the shortest margin – a solitary vote.
In third was second year superstar Nick Daicos of the Love Sparkles, who also broke the 20 vote barrier. This would’ve been enough to win the award in several past seasons.
Rounding out the top five was another Roughneck in Defender Jordan Dawson, who polled 19 votes, and another enigmatic star in Errol Gulden of Threat Level Midnight.
