2024 Coaches’ Survey

Ladies and gentleman, we have some movement on matters not Solomon’s Soldiers related.

Sure, everyone thinks they’ll be the minor premier again. Everyone agrees they have the best midfield. Just about everyone thinks they’ll win the flag.

But just who it is they’re beating at the pointy end is the subject of some disagreement.

Someone thinks the Taxmanian Devils are going to win the flag this year. Another thinks they’ll miss the finals completely.

Four coaches think the Sparkles will be the runner up. Two think it will be the Defenestrators again. Someone has backed the Roughnecks. One person thinks the Devils will be beating the Soldiers on grand final weekend.

Everyone thinks Te Puke Pukekos will “win” the spoon again though.

The Defenestrators are the runner-up for two coaches, but another thinks they’ll miss the finals. 5 coaches think the Vipers are missing the finals. Five! They were dropping 1900+ scores in the final month of last season. Life comes at you fast.

The player awards are a lot of fun. Six different midfielders are backed for midfielder #1. Five different forwards. Only 2 different defenders.

Three coaches think Rowan Marshall will dethrone Tim English in the ruck. Perhaps related, three think he’ll win the DangerGawn Medal.
