Two big ones for this weekend. We’re starting to rack up a few 150 gamers now…
GAME OF THE ROUND
This is a funny round of matchups, with the top teams largely facing off against those near the foot of the ladder. So we’re going with the 5 v 6 matchup – it’s the only one where two current top 6 teams are playing.
Both teams have three wins so far this season, though the form lines are stark. The Roughnecks put up a very strong score last week and have righted the ship with two successive wins. Threat Level Midnight eked out a victory over the struggling Vipers last weekend, by a paltry 2 points. And that win broke a two game losing streak.
The Roughnecks would want to win this one. But can the three headed triumvirate of Gulden, Serong and Sheezel (Gulrongzel? Is Gulrongzel something? Very Lord of the Rings. I think I’ve got one here. All eyes on Gulrongzel this weekend)
SNEAKY INTERESTING MATCHUP
It’s always interesting when family take the field against one another, right?
I can’t pretend I’m not writing this after 3 games have already transpired. MaherShalalHashBaz have started the round strongly. The have three 120+ scores on the board already. Though they also have a few sub-60 scores in the books too.
The Sparkles have had far fewer players take the field, and no bad scores among them. Though I think anytime N. Daicos doesn’t put up triple figures on you, you count that as a win.
Could MSHB claim an almighty scalp here? The Sparkles haven’t faulted this season, and seem to team to beat as we approach the midway point of the season. A stumble here would motivate the trailing pack behind them.

Te Puke Pukekos might actually field an entire 22 this weekend?
And they’ve started the round pretty well to boot… they couldn’t, could they?
