Summary
An A grade, despite getting nothing from their first round selection?
The strongest list in the league added four players who played 17 or more games. They added the most exciting up and coming ruck in Marshall, who happened to average almost a tonne. Ricky Henderson had a career best year. Charlie Constable couldn’t get a game, but when he did, he scored extremely well for a second-year player. Pittard and Tomlinson were valued contributors.
It wasn’t all knockouts. Jordan Lewis was a disappointment, and Grigg chucked it in before he could get on the field. The aforementioned first rounder, Rankine, never took the field and is no longer on the list.
But the Chiefs continue to get outstanding results on draft day. Two players playing nearly every game and averaging over 90? From the 10 slot? What are the rest of us doing?
