Summary

A mixed bag for the Sparkles.

The good – McEvoy was great for much of the season (a shift down back late in the season would prove most unwelcome though). Cunningham was looking like an outstanding defender pickup before his season was derailed by injury. Sam Gray and Jed Anderson were solid contributors for most of the year. Crozier was a serviceable second round selection- but did much of his work for other clubs in 2019.

The Bad – round one selection Alex Neal-Bullen fizzled as his AFL club did. Davies-Uniacke didn’t kick on (but did enough to earn himself a keeper spot) . McDonald and Armitage played 1 game between them.

In fact, there are a lot of 0 games, 0 points in the table above. It’s not a disaster – the backhalf of the draft is a crapshoot. But it would be nice to get something from those selections to help with those finals humps.
